We should delay introducing screens and minimize screen use in school. Students must learn to do research and write on their own, without Artificial Intelligence (A.I., like ChatGPT). They should also learn how to use A.I. appropriately. I will fight industry marketing and data collection in school technology programs. I support the systemwide “Away for the Day” policy for students’ personal devices.
